Golovkin walks around at 170 - Canelo walks around at 164. So?

Canelo was 174 for his last fight, and 174 v Angulo and Lara.

Which is 4lbs heavier than Golovkin fights at. So why doesn't Golovkin distill down to 154lbs and remove the question. HBO would make that fight tomorrow, they'd both come in around the 170 mark.

Because how much a fighter can lose is very specific to their body type.

Besides, Oscar has already said he doesn't want the fight for a couple of years.

Oscar is what's wrong with Canelo's career. He's moving him along at a snails pace and manufacturing wins and opponents. If Canelo is the thoroughbred that he's made out to be then he needs to let him run and quit working him like a mule. That's the only way his greatness will show, that's if he has true greatness in him.

If the fight happens it takes place at whatever weight Canelo wishes it to be at. GGG clearly wants a big name, but no big names see a reward in the fight, there is too much risk - and one they don't need to take. If GGG wants Canelo, then he can forget about trying to dictate a weight to Canelo. Because Canelo doesn't need the fight, GGG does - and he knows it.

He doesn't fight those guys cause risk/reward does not work out for them. Quillin, NDam passed several times, and Jacobs said not next. Some of them are also with Haymon. Lee would probably fight him, and GGG would take it in a heartbeat

Who wouldn't want that fight, except Froch, his promoter, and family?
