if Rocky Marciano was able to hit a curveball a little better, he’d have been a baseball player instead

That's rubbish, it needs better scouts, better marketing, better management.

Sure and when you have 350 belts and 25 division champions, what is to be promoted/scouted/managed?

So the sport needs people, even champions from a certain nationality? I was wrong to think it's about achievements, regardless of where do you come from.

As for people not agreeing to watch tiny man - I mostly agree. In their own way, they show qualities and fight just as much as the bigger guys. But it's not too exciting to watch people who dried themselves or who are simply shorter than the average (not judging or mocking at that), instead of bulking a bit and getting bigger, not necessarily heavies.

Look at the heavyweight division for example, in a few short years the likes of Fury, Usyk, Joshua, Wilder, Zhang, Whyte, Joyce will all be retired. Who will be left to really garner public interest?

If the scouts were doing a great job, if the fighters were getting promoted properly, this situation wouldn't be on the horizon.
