I can think of a dozen things to do when you miss a jab.

Impossible, boxing is a sport of secrets. You gain the greats' wisdom by apprenticeship only.

 

Added the only one I know of that you may have missed. Dempsey's lead. I've heard it called a lean in jab too, but dempsey called it a jolt so jolt it is.
