Muhummad and Larry which is also part of ESPN's 30 for 30 series. Facing Ali is excellent. Great doco!
It's worth a look and a good story about the seedy side of boxing and how an unscrupulous trainer and desperate fighter can combine to destroy an up and comer's career. There are several factors as to why Collins never laced them up again before he tragically died in a single car accident near his home.
I heard the guy he was fighting removed the padding from his gloves and gave him a hiding for 10 rounds, which say's alot about Collins' chin if he went 10 rounds with a basicly bare knuckled fighter. Really must try and find that. Cheers man.:good
The George Foreman one is great. I saw one about Duran before that was very good with SRL commenting etc, all the good ones seem to have him in. Maybe if this isn't against the rules this could be stickied? I mean its an interesting thread to have. Will undoubtedly come up again to.
When We Were Kings Facing Ali Ring of Fire (The Emille Griffith Story) Tyson Assault In The Ring Little Prince Big Trouble (Behind The Scenes For Naseem Hamed vs Barerra) Thriller in Manila Must be others too..any more takers?
"The real Rocky". Chuck Wepner's story. "When we were King's" (movie/docu). Ali vs Foreman "Unforgivable Blackness". Jack Johnson biography. Just a few you might enjoy.
Assault in the Ring despite the incredibly homosexual title is one of my fave documentaries ever :thumbsup
