I was flicking through a couple of boxing mags just there, more specifically Boxing Monthly and Boxing news and the advertisements at the back really caught my attention. There's quite a few adverts from people who sell dvds (obviously copied onto a disc) and I was just wondering if any of the other UK lads had bought any. I'm looking to get my old man some Mike Tyson dvds and for myself some of De La Hoya and Barrera. For anyone who has some boxing dvds, where did you get them? And if you dealt with any of the people I'm referring to whats the quality like and can you recommend anyone in particular. (Even yourself) Cheers
Oh, I've no doubt I'll get the dvd's mate. No question about that what so ever. I was just curious how good the quality was, especially of older fights and if anyone had found someone who was especially good in regards to prices/quality/delivery, etc.
i've been buying dvd's from boxing monthly adds since the days of VHS and all legit. i tend to watch most fights online now. i'd imagine all fights pre-dating 2000 are vhs conversions
get in touch if u have any queries on quality. i tend to find that recent fights, say last 5 to 10 yrs, are generally good quality. going back further it can be a bit mixed. i've got some fights from the 80's that are excellent quality and some not so good. it depends really.
www.superstarsofboxing.co.uk is fantastic. I write about boxing so I have to keep upto date with fights and that's where I get a lot my stuff from. Also try www.boxinggalore.com. It's based in America so you have to wait a little bit longer for delivery but their career sets are second to none.
Cheers for the help and feedback Much appreciated and I'll post an update when I receive my dvds from wherever I decide to buy from Another question, slightly off topic but does anybody happen to know where I can buy t-shirts of fighters - There handy for when at the gym or just out for a run I managed to get a really smart royal blue Calzaghe one but that was inside the Arena at the Kessler fight
