Would really appreciate some feedback on this subject. Was hoping i could benefit from your experiences. In the back of boxing monthly there is a '4PLAY FIGHTS' advert that has some compilations i would like, has anyone bought from them before, quality, reliability? i was also looking at paulhitchin and superstars of boxing. i understand older fights may not have the greatest picture but some peoples dvds may be better than others. Can anyone help :thumbsup
I can actually Nicky. 4play fight are good mate. I have bought off them before a few time. they are a bit more expensive than normal but delivery is fast and reliable. On a plus not i've been able to call him and give him my bank details over the phone and never had anything untoward go wrong. he's called steve the bloke and is very reliable and seems a nice bloke too. i would reccomend them :good
Superstars of Boxing is hit and miss, I ordered a career set from there which was good quality with nice artwork on the discs and cases. The next set I bought had some defective dvds and some of the fights advertised as being in the set hadn't even been aired on tv so obviously were not included. When I got onto the guy about this he said I would have to pay for the set again as he dosen't do individual dvds which is a bit of a **** take.
http://www.boxingheaven.com/index.html This site has the most fights per boxset I have seen. If I look at a boxset at Paul Hitchin's, the boxset at boxingheaven usually has an extra 2 fights for example. Also has Eubank, Calzaghe and Hearn's pro debuts - I have never seen these before. 3 for 2 at the moment as well, although I have never tried the site, so I am not sure what the service, delivery time, quality etc. will be like.
cool, was hoping someone would say that! He has 'ring magazine fights of the year 1970-2006' and 'british boxing fights of the year 1984-2008'. sounds like a very pleasant weekend to me! between 4play and paulhitchin i think i'm set, thanx fellas :thumbsup
nice one mate, i'll give them a swerve! i'd rather get from somewhere kosher and pay abit more than take my chances with backstreet bob. While on the subject what kind of collections if any have you guys got?
I've got career sets of : Steve Collins Nigel Benn Bernard Dunne Wayne McCullough Barry McGuigan Micky Ward Naseem Hamed Mike Tyson Marco Antonio Barerra Israel Vasquez Amir Khan Paul McCloskey Wladimir Klitschko Manny Pacquiao Andy Lee John Duddy I've also got a load of individual fights mostly of Irish and UK fighters
i have a wish list of dvds i'd like, i'm skint this month though. going to froch, prizefighter and lenny daws. The shows will be great but i love watching classics on telly!
