it's not a secret GGG has a poor resume - geale's is much better

part of that is because GGG's career stalled when he joined sturm's promoter, and part of that is just plain bad luck

i'm more than happy to give GGG his props - he looks the goods.
but I've seen this before...it doesn't always turn out well when someone takes them out of their zone (not that I can see much to bother him at MW)

Of course it's a somewhat weak resume, not denying that. Geale has been beat and troubled, though. GGG has swept the floors with all of them, looking almost superhuman at times, hence the p4p claim. People claiming he is completely untested are dead wrong, and would be better off pointing their finger at Quillin or Sturm for being duckers and taking easy fights.

Almost all the guys in the P4P top 10 have lengthy, dominant runs, and the majoirty of them have done so in MULTIPLE weight classes against top notch level of opposition.

P4P doesn't equate to "H2H." It's multiple factors that have to be calculated, specifically the level of competition the fighter has faced, the length of that fighters reign and if the fighter has won titles in multiple weight classes (outside of HW fighters since they can't move to other weight divisions.)

GGG up to this point has done what he's supposed to do- beat up on mostly tomato cans and a few MEDIOCRE fighters. For a guy in his 30's who has over 25 fights under his belt, he shouldn't even be mentioned as a P4P guy until he takes a dramatic leap/step-up in competition.

Sturm is the absolutely shittiest MW titlist I can remember ever wearing a 160lb title. The fact that he let an out of shape welter go the distance with him speaks VOLUMES. Sturm has spent his entire career hiding in Germany fighting TOMATO CAN after TOMATO CAN - with the notable exception being the Oscar fight, a fight Sturm LOST. HoldMyBeer is right, Sturm has *never* fought a MW of note. Macklin losing to Sturm - even if the fight was close - basically tells us everything we need to know about the quality of fighter Macklin is...
