I'm not the least bit insecure about boxing or anything else, my friend. I'm a huge boxing fan and I also enjoy some MMA and have been watching since UFC 1. The fact remains that Dana, Joe and quite a few MMA fighters have come out and talked a whole bunch of **** about boxing, so this clearly isn't just about "insecure" boxing fans.

People are overreacting to one video Joe Rogan made comments on YEARS ago. Rogan puts out more video and audio content than almost anyone else you'll find related to combative sports and yet this is the only video that boxing fans seems to cling to to try to keep this ridiculous MMA vs Boxing argument on life support.

Well I am glad that you are a MMA fan as well as a boxing fan because both sports are phenomenal and that means we can be friends.

 

As for Dana White - the majority of what he says about boxing promoters killing the business is very true. He and Bob Arum have a mad hate for each other but Dana has come out time and again asking Floyd and Manny to put their differences aside and make the fight that all boxing fans want to see.

Doesn't matter one iota what Dana says. He's a promoter and a company ***** first. He'll use ANYTHING as leverage to promote his brand including viral marketing and his constant digs at Boxing.
He turned his hand at it before and was a spectacular failure. Now he's riding high thanks to the mighty dollars of his rich benefactor friends and he becomes a model of objectivity? Give me a break. He's no different to any other fight promoter. If Dana was as good as he says he is he would have made it in boxing.
