Boxing fans don't enjoy/understand infighting, that's why they can't enjoy Andre Ward

I'll take the in-fighting skills of Duran, Chavez, Toney, Qawi, Armstrong over Ward any day. More appealing to the eyes.

MVC should be forcibly restrained & made to watch that Ward video. Let him try to claim Ward is not a dirty fighter

Ward is not pleasing to the eye like a lot of other skilled in-fighters. It's good that we have some in-fighters left in boxing, as it is becoming a lost art, but a lot of Ward up close involves mauling and grappling, and hitting with the free hand. Whereas a lot of other good displays of infighting (Bowe-Holyfield, Corrales-Castillo, Toney-Barkley) involved more punches thrown, easier punches to see being landed, less grappling.

Understand or appreciate is one thing. And I can do both when it comes to Ward, who is a tremendous fighter.
But to enjoy is another. Normally I anticipate and watch most fights involving top p4p fighters, but I didn't look forward nor watch ward few fights prior to kovalev.

Oh that he has great skills isn't for debate but as Larry Marchent said it's just not a fan friendly approach from him but I know why he does it and more to the point why he does in big fights.
If you watch his three tune ups he boxes beautifully and just didn't do his holding wrestling thing,I reckon he could fight like this in the big fights but cause he's had so much success he's not likely to change as he's so strong and can hold n wrestle for fun which in turn nicks him rounds.

Yes this one,his own views and his fans are that this is a fight but I ain't buying that as it's Queensbury rules boxing and just imagine the sport if everyone fought this way?we would lose boxing as a sport and if it's just a fight then why bother having a ref, judges, gloves even.
His skills aren't up for debate but to see him deliberately use elbows and the head, rabbit punches and kidney punches against Kessler say is just very sad for a guy who can box when he wants to,his public gym workouts and shadow boxing is total joke since it's not how he fights in the ring

You are correct about many people not understand infighting but that also includes you. If you look closely at Wards infighting it revolves almost totally around him instigating a clinch, holding with one hand and hitting with the other. The rules of boxing state that any punches landed with one hand while holding with the other hand do not count as a scoring punch. The rules also state that it is illegal to even throw a punch with one hand while holding with the other. Most people understand that you cannot hold an opponent's head with one and land on his head with the other but fail to understand that it is no different with the body. Why is it illegal? Because it helps a fighter to feel the range more easily and it helps the fighter to land if he is holding the target in a stationary position thereby gaining an unfair advantage. Armstrong was a great infighter because for the most part he kept his hands free. Ward is not because for the most part he abuses the rules regarding holding and hitting. Once again you have exposed yourself as having only a casual knowledge of boxing and it's rules.
