    Boxing fans,

I just wanted to state what they have in MMA is a hodge podge of experience without true singular focus. What you get with "pro" anything is that singular focus. You get to see the best of what that individual physical art form has to offer. Whereas you'll seldom ever get that in MMA.

I'm not saying pro boxing is better than MMA. Both have their strengths. It's just one shows the pinnacle of one, and the other displays mid to low-level range abilities of EVERYTHING.

Last thing to mention, UFC fighters are not "World Class Athletes" and they champions are not "World Champs" there company champs, once they realize that you can't be a world champ unless all organizations come as one with their athletes they will always be company fighters and not world classes MMAs....

Certainly Lesnar has benefited from steroids, but don't don't underestimate his grappling ability. He was an NCAA champion.

Some are former k1 champs, judo champs, wrestling, sambo, jiu jutsu bjj champs. You just dont see any boxing champs because too much money to be made at it to leave it...but they are definitely world class.

I like MMA. With out MMA, I would not have been exposed to boxing. I believe that MMA is a great way to expose people to a fight sport and I believe that boxing can benefit from MMA's success.

Well first things first , this is a boxing forum not an mma critisism forum , there is an mma froum on here too so if you have a gripe with mma take it up on there , and secondly what your saying is a load of shite !!!!!!!! and this is why :

MMA only really hit main stream 5 years ago , in that time it has become the fastest evolving sport of all time , in comparison to the way boxing evolved mma has to be seen as multiplying that evolution by maybe 10 times the speed , fighters now do not have 1 or 2 main skills they have a multitude of world class abilies in different dicsiplines , just because idiots like you do not see the MGM , or MSG filled out for a final of a Jui Jitsu , Muay Thai or wrestling tournament does not mean that these fighters are not world class at what they do !!!!! , as you probably dont know mma stands for mixed martial arts the key word being martial arts most mma fighters at the top level have competed in 1 , 2 or sometimes 3 martial arts before turning to mma , and thats at world level .

On your second ridiculous point , that mma shows a mid to low level of multiple disciplines , 5 years ago if you were competing in mma against some one with a BJJ (Brazilian Jui Jitsu) black belt you would be fearfull to take that fight to the ground , now black belts are ten a penny in mma (legitament black belts too) , and im pretty sure you have no idea of how hard and the technical know how that comes with a BJJ black belt , you now also have mma stars boxing out of camps such as the wild card gym (Arlovski , Dan Hardy) and holding there own with regular boxers , that goes for wrestling also , George St Pierre was approached and asked to compete for Canada in the Olympics in wrestling having only wrestled for 4 years and he is prodominantly a stand up fighter (that means to you he likes to keep the fight standing) .

And thirdly and maybe your most ridiculous point is that mma fighters are not well conditioned and are not proper athletes , and that they are not world champs but actually company champs .

Well anyone who knows anything about mma knows that barring the heavyweight division the UFC & WEC (the UFC's sister company who boasts the best featherweight & bantamweights in the world) are the companys to be in , and if you are top of the pile in the UFC you have a great argument to say that you are the best in the world , outside of the UFC the champions of the other companys are all the nearly men of the past in the UFC , Robbie Lawler , Renato Sobral , Nick Diaz etc etc , outside of the UFC these men are superstars inside the UFC they are average fighters . Barring Emilianenko (heavyweight) .

Ok the conditioning bull **** !!!!!!! , i suggest you go on you tube and look at some of Randy Couture , Rich Franklin , Sean Sherk & George St Pierre's conditioning drills , then have a look at some of there fights and tell me mma fighters are not well conditioned !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In summary i suggest you research mma a little bit more before posting your shite on hear my friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GSP is awesome.

Most of the other guys a crude "athletes".

Lesner being the circus act he is proved that. The UFC HW Champ in only his 4th fight. He trained for MMA for what a couple of years and he is THE HW Champ.UFC and MMA in general lacks depth.
