i think this is the very first time see myself rooting against de la hoya :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy
:huh Definitely, maybe a brutal knock out loss to a much smaller opponent would finally convince de la hoya s planet engulfing ego that he has nothing left to offer the sport as a fighter. Would I be correct in stating that GBP promotes Forbes? If so is this not a HUUUUGE conflict of interest?
When Judah lost to Baldomir, Did that stop Floyd from fighting Judah anyways and then going on to fighting Baldomir? If Forbes beats DLH, Will that stop Floyd from fighting DLH anyways and then going on to fighting Forbes? who the **** knows what Floyd Mayweather is going to do.
I would have liked to see Forbes win mainly because I'm so opposed to a bull**** fight like Mayweather-DLH II. But I doubt Mayweather will go out and sign for a Cotto fight if Oscar loses. So, whatever happens ,unless its Mayweather fighting Cotto, I don't care.
Yes! If Forbes beats DLH and cotto looks good against gomez it will make cotto the only legit opponent for mayweather. Also mayweather will look like a ***** if he doesnt fight cotto. Even Mayweather fans will see that under those circumstances.
Why is there so much hatred towards Oscar? First of all... stop complaining about Oscar vs Floyd II... the first fight was close enough for a rematch to be worthwhile. Second of all... NOBODY IS FORCING YOU TO WATCH THE DAMN FIGHT! You guys act like Oscar and Mayweather are forcing you to buy the PPV and see the second fight. Would you rather they both just not fight that day? If that is your stance, then watch something else and it will be the same to you. For the rest of us, we will actually like to see a rematch. I happen to think that Oscar can beat Floyd in the rematch. I felt like he won the first fight, as Floyd really didn't do much outside of dusting Oscar's gloves. Lets take a look at highlights from the fight, and remember that we are talking about a man who was EXTREMELY inactive, and coming off of a torn rotator cuff and a torn forearm. Yet, still he was able at 34 years old and very inactive to have this good of a showing against the #1 pd 4 pd boxer in the sport. [YT]Dss8VYRjxKo[/YT] I think that if Oscar comes in lighter, which means he has to train harder... he is going to be a FORCE. I have no idea why people are acting like they have no interest in seeing him fight. Must have short attention spans. He went to a SD against the #1 pd 4 pd boxer in the sport, and before that fight he went toe to toe with Mayorga and knocked him out.
Oscar has consistently fought the best opposition. He's taken some tune ups in the past, but he hasn't ducked anyone. He hasn't won them all, but find me one active fighter who has better names on his resumé. He fought Hopkins arguably in Hopkins' prime. Fought Mosley in his prime. Fought Trinidad in his prime. Fought Mayweather in his prime. Fought Ike Quartey in his prime, Vargas, etc. etc. He's fought some greats that were past their primes, fine, but we're still talking about Pernell and JC Chavez. He was never outclassed. Even against Bernard he was ahead on some cards. I just don't understand the hate, he embodies what we should all like about a fighter: fight the best competition available. Should we be against Oscar for wanting to fight Floyd, the best P4P fighter in the sport? What is this?
