Can be interesting to those who know ground techniques. Absolutely brutal for fans to see in person once they hit the deck. Cannot make out what is going on without jumbotron. Seems a lot of them get kayoed with punches a pro boxer could shake off. While boxing can have some snoozers I still prefer it by a wide margin. Wouldn't buy any MMA PPV.

Enjoy it, a casual fan, watch about 8-9 cards a year. Wouldn't admit I'm a fan in public though, it has a backwards fanbase, so it's a guilty pleasure.

If you really like watching a couple of greasy dudes in skin tight shorts rolling around on the ground together... then maybe you should just admit you're a homo and go all the way into full fledged gay porn.

I have been involved with Martial Arts since i was young but i knew boxing since i was born. It was boxing and soccer. I like martial arts and have done them but MMA is kind of "whatever ill watch it theres nothing on" thing for me. In a weird way i enjoy every art separately. Boxing is number 1 for me, but i enjoy watching Muay Thai fights, Judo matches, BJJ matches but all together in MMA it just doesnt get my attention. Its kind of weird but whatever.

Its something to watch when there is no boxing.
I respect it as a sport but its frustrating when people say its better than boxing.
there is a reason their top fighters make as much as an avg belt holder in boxing. The skill level is just higher thats why they get paid more.

Love both sports and have competed in both sports and easily I find MMA more enjoyable to watch and train in boxing is boring by comparison its a very limited form of fighting. I love sparring Muay Thai or doing BJJ cause I have more to do and more to worry about. But ill give Boxing this its the hardest to master by far like example ive been practicing jabs for over 4 years now as opposed to a roundhouse kick for about 7 months my kicks and knees and elbows are probablly better then my punches even though ive spent countless hours over the years working my Boxing skills.

MMA seems to appeal to the layman. Many people I know only watch it as if it's a street fight, that is why there seems to be a big female fan base.

What I've always found interesting is how most fans seem to really enjoy stand up fighters. Nobody can deny that the striking game in MMA is limited and crude. It's mind boggling to think that the most popular fighter was/is Chuck Liddel. A fighter who mostly fights by striking but has no technique whatsoever. Yet there is MMA fans who I've oftened heard say boxing is boring.

    But to me MMA= TRASH.

    **** MMA

    It's a good sport.

Never should the two be compared.

I don't like it. Sorry. They almost always lie on the ground. That is when it gets boring for me.

I fall into the category of simply not finding it interesting. For me there's just alot of things working against it that wouldnt bother others. for instance i find the ground fighting really boring, i come from the boxing mentality where a guy has alot of fights before getting or deserving title chances, Brock Lesnar has 2 fights and has a heavyweight championship match, you see guys with not very good records (11-4 etc..) being some of the top guys. Just nto my cup of tea.

He makes Mayorga look like Pernell Whitaker.

Look... a former fake wrestler with a record of 1 and 1 or something just won the HW championship of the world right?! ... Say no more,,, :-(

You do realize how good of a wrestler Brock Lesnar is right? Not just fake wrestling but collegiate level.

Also won the 2000 NCAA wrestling championship.

This is the type of statement a boxing fan should never make.
