It was over before it started. This always gets the same predictable answers. Some guys like a good fight, some don't. They prefer boxing.

Sorry but I just can't get into mma I've tried watching it and doesn't come close to boxing! When I think of mma I picture a bar fight and a big crowd of drunk yahoos cheering them on! Two guys rolling around the ground trying to get in a lucky shot. I really have a negative oppinion of it because of D. White badmouthing boxing. Yeah promote your sport but leave ours out of it! No disrepect to the fighters but I think boxing has more "class" than mma. I've given it a chance and it left a bad taste in my mouth. No thank you ufc! If u like it watch it but don't compare it to "the sweet science" !

It all depends on your definition of a boxer.

Am I pro? No. But I should have my amateur debut soon if everything goes well.

I'm not claiming to be a champ or even a future champ, but a I love the sport and am willing to compete even if there is no chance in hell of me becoming a champ.

    Know what I mean now?

Okay. Well just know that somewhere there's a bunch of MMA guys saying f_ck boxing. Don't be so foolish & childish and stoop to their level.

:good I like the way you carried yourself through this argument. And you have a point, I see how I can come off as a dumbass blatantly saying **** the UFC.

I prefer boxing anyday to MMA or UFC, even if boxing today is maybe not what it used to be! watching to guy sweatty guys wrestling on the floor with their feet stuck in each others face.. doesn`t really make me excited:bart

Nah. Don't say that, cause thats not how I feel. I just feel that you're getting caught up in the mix of the topic. I do the same thing sometimes, and sometimes takes someone to check me, but I appreciate it. You're not a dumbass. you just get caught up in the mix, it happens. But I wish you the best when you start your amateur career. I really do, hope I get to check you out on youtube at least. And just for the rec, I like boxing way more than UFC, boxers are way more skilled.

    me...

...for the most part its boring.

the one thing that bothers me the most is that all it takes is one lucky punch for a winner to be decided when they stand up and fight face to face. whoever lands that one punch is the winner, no second chance for the victim.

if not that then its likely that the majority of the fight is gonna be spent with the two guys rolling around on the canvas. like i said...boring.

it can be exciting, but not to the level of boxing, like Marquez/Vasquez or Pacquiao vs. Marquez or Morales.

:D boxing gives every fighter a chance if they arent all the way k.o.'d, then you can get back in it and be competitive or even win the match. :good

Thanx, I'll be posting here, I'll keep you updated. The reason that I don't a have date yet is because the last boxing gym we had in our city closed, but my trainer and I are trying to get a new location. Hopefully it all goes well. Thanx again bro.
