James Toney fans who say he was exremly weight drained against Roy Jones but then say that his heavyweight career is soooo impressive because he is a blown up middleweight

Mayweather haters who say that Floyd's win over Zab was nothing but use wins over Zab to talk up Cotto, and KT

DLH haters who refuse to give him credit for wins over Chavez and whitikar but talk up floyd's win over a 34 year old past prime inactive DLH

feel free to add to the list.

well about toney is that he was a cruiserwieght who shrunk into a middlewieght so at middlewieght he is weaker and didnt have the conditioning at the higher wieghts. yet he was a middelwieght when he wento heavywieght i mean he was at that wieght and that does take a toll on you for going so low in wieght.

The point is he is not a blown up middle weight by any means. If anything it's like you said at middleweight he was a shrunk down cruiserweight and that was 10 years ago. I think that we can stop calling him a blown up middle.

People saying Hatton is the smaller man when in fact he started his career at 140 and Floyd started at 130. Just because he can't keep moving up and winning like Floyd that doesn't mean he is the smaller man.

Along that same point hatton has often struggled to make 140 wheras floyd could make 140 with a few days notice if he needed to.

I also love Hatton, Gatti, Cotto, Corrales fans who criticize Oscar for "weight draining" when he was 19 and fighting at lower weights.

In his best shape he was a middleweight.

Adding 100 pounds of fat doesnt mean youre not a middleweight.

yeah but dlh never truly dominated any division only lightwieght and welter and in that he had 2 loses to mosley in the mean time.

so to say that he was a dominant force is very short sighted. more deserving better fighters were around the way which wernt given there dues becuase they wernt called oscar de la hoya.

at super feather he did nothing at lightwieght he got recognised as a good 2 wieght champion.

i feel it was more luck and timing when he came on the scene ray leonard ahd officaily retired ,tyson had disappeared after he was sent to jail and most other fighters where not celeb material where as oscar was. he was nice looking he had a smile that people could warm to he had a nice boxer outside jabbing style for the boxing fans and sportscasters who didnt know all about boxing and an exiting puncher left hooking style for the highlight reels.
it wasnt his skill that got him belts it was his celeb...and that why i will never give him full credit becuase he would dodge and weave away from guy so he can look for pay days which will be pumped out on news casts the next day about a ppv special of oscar de la hoya winning yet another world title.

I'd love to see it myself. Almost every great strays from their natural weight class as they age anyways.

Toney hasnt trained hard in ages. I love him to death, but his training habits these days are complete ****.

thats what im trying to say is that he was a heavy but muscular american footbal player.then went into boxing and went to middlewieght becuase of his hieght and reach would be at a disadvantage. yet he had killed himself to make wieght i remember he couldnt make super middlewieght it absolutly killed him to make it.
but he was a middlewieght...his frame was now a middlewieght and he piled on fatty muscle to move up in wieght.

and didnt grow into his wieght as roy jones, hearns, dlh.

also at middlewieght you can tell he was fasting himself becuase of his body shape notice how...

james has little body muscle becuase when you starve yourself your muscle receed. the same way ananorexic feel fat is because the muscles shink and pulpy fat stays on which is why they arnt defined.

Toney's training habits are to blame far more than his natural size.

Yeah man and they will never see the light. Just like they were saying Oscar is so much bigger than Floyd. He hits harder and I will never deny that but they are the same height and started their careers at the same weight.
