I like both boxing & MMA, the elite in each sport are of the very highest order & deserve massive respect.... the 2 toughest sports on earth.

Boxers with no grappling experience have tried MMA/NHB before & have all got ****ed up.... its usually the ignorant ones that say `**** MMA` that lose quickest.

    This is a boxing forum.

it's in the name of the site.

What kind of response to you seriously think you are going to get?

They are completely different sports, everyone wants to compare them, because both are fighting, but the entire approach to training and fighting is completely different.

Yes. The fight with Lindland was a typical example of an mma fighter with good punching ability & knowledge vs one with the classic childlike approach to standup.

Yup cant argue with your thread he has fast hands but whats the point any decent boxer would school this guy to death. He doesnt have the mechanics of a boxer and look at his defense lol it is nonexistent. He fights with his chin out those MMA guys dont have the skillset to time him.

Could be true but your heart has to be 100% in it.

Brazil wanted him to box in the olympics & he opted for MMA instead when he was younger, Im guessing if he had choosen boxing then his hands would be even better as ALL of his training would be on boxing rather than just like 30% or whatever.

Al Stankie (boxing trainer) says that Belforts hands were up there with any boxer he has ever worked with - not sure if even I fully believe that but the point of the thread was to show a good well rounded MMA fighter that can throw very good punches too because thats often the criticism of MMA guys by boxing fans that dont like MMA.

    :good

All trainers always use hyperbole talking about their guys. It's called promoting a fight/fighter.

For all you tossers that feel so threatened by a nascent sport that you can't enjoy or respect the abilities of these athletes enough to muster more of a lucid response than "**** MMA" - this is what MMA striking is like. The bulk of your favorite boxers would never make it past this guy's left leg. This is what REAL MMA striking is like. It's called Knock You the **** Out by kicking you in the head.
