I love Westerns especially Italian Spaghetti Westerns especially the films of Leone, Corbucci, Fulci and Sollima. I love the Westerns of Peckinpah and all the classic films of Hawks, Wyler, Hathaway, Vidor Stevens and Ford. But for some reason outside of The Great Escape I've never cared for the films of John Sturges including The Magnificent Seven, I prefer Seven Samurai the Japanese remake of it by Kurosawa for those who don't know. I like MVC can't wait for The Hateful Eight either.
yeah its weak, only good thing in it is Mr Whittaker. And Rachel McAdams makes a good sluutty wife lol not sure thats a compliment though. Creed is pretty certain to stink worse. if we are mentioning the better films then you cant not add Million Dollar Baby, which turns into a slow burner late on but will freaking mess with your head late on wth the way it portrays the worst aspects of boxing... Eastwoods best non-western movie for sure.
Yes it is. I haven't seen it for a long time but it's definitely one of the best ones I've seen. I like Paul Newman too.
They did Max Baer a huge disfavor in this one. Didn't even get his trunks right. Shame. If Baer was motivated and didn't clown and train in NY nightclubs he would've starched Braddock in 8
"Rocky Marciano" with Favreau. Perfect casting. Good film for low budget made for cable flick. "Joe and Max" also fantastic
I wouldn't watch that piece of **** The Hurricane after hearing what I've heard about it. Apparently it's one big lie.
Hurricane is one of the greatest movies ever...I'd watch it again. but it's not really about boxing. Unforgiveable blackness- jack johnson
yeah, i made a mental note when I saw the "southpaw" trailer to stay clear...wouldn't want to watch it on free tv. i heard "the fighter" was good...saw bits and pieces here and there.
He lost his title fight fair and square and he is guilty as **** of the crime. I'd rather watch a movie about what a great guy and accomished chef Jeffery Dahmer was.
