Always great to see some footage of the unheralded contenders of the day.

Charley Riley gave Sandy Saddler a difficult time and was KO'd by Pep. They've got one of his fights there against Dave Gallardo. Riley went 1-1 with one of the best Finnish boxers of all time Elis Ask.

I haven't seen Constance-Gavilan since it was rebroadcast on the Nostalgia Network, I don't know how many years ago, but some folks here at ESB (who I won't ever bother to identify) thought I was bullshitting when I claimed it existed. (Actually, I got quite a bit of it early on here, when I stated things like seeing footage of a welterweight Robinson against Fusari, or the allegedly lost conclusion of Fitz-Corbett. The surfacing of all this historic footage has vindicated me repeatedly since, and I don't catch grief for it anymore, and haven't for a long time.)

Now, where's that footage of Greb-Tunney I, synchronized with the recording of KDKA's radio broadcast?

I think that whatever fight was broadcasted on TV in the 1950's most likely exists on film, but they're sometimes difficult to come by in case of the more obscure fights. It's the pre-1950's era of boxing that's very difficult to acquire film of.

Great find GreatA. What an ecclectic mix of fights. It's official, I'm an 80's geek, cuz I'm excited to watch Park vs Curto.
