JohnGarfield replied to a post of mine that he considered one of Ray's top performances to be the first match against Olson in Philly, where he knocked out Bobo in 12 for PA's version of the world middleweight title. A couple weeks later, he took on Dykes for a televised match in Chicago, and footage of that's on youtube. Robinson-Fusari, Robinson-Docusen and Robinson-Abrams (the fight immediately preceding the Doyle tragedy) have been on youtube, and there's also footage of Robby taking on Angott. Stuff that supposedly didn't exist, like the Docusen film, keeps popping up from time to time. (Docusen had been rumored for years to be in the possession of the Docusen family, but it ultimately came to light from another source.) SRR-Angott is interesting. Sammy is boxing defensively, retreating while Robinson is aggressively stalking forward, stabbing down behind his jab, looking something like a preying mantis rather than an elusive dancing master. He somewhat resembles what Hearns looked like at the lower weights. Dykes is also intriguing. This time, we can actually hear the sound of his right surgically thudding into Bobby's ribs during the early going.
