For a guy with 20 wins and 9 ko's Chris career in the past 2 years is like a Disney movie. He went from fighting on ESPN Friday Night Fights to beating a feared 140 pound champion Ruslan Provodnikov and surviving some very hard shots to win the WBO Super Lightweight title.
He then got the call to face Manny Pacquiao the #2 P4P fighter in the world and be part of a Big Fight PPV in China.
After 3 fights in 2014 and basically hitting the lottery he gets a shot to fight Amir Khan and makes him look super average and knocked him down in the fifth round. With only a month training camp with a new trainer John David Jackson he was the cherry pick that went wrong for Amir.

Can Chris Algieri be the next star in the 147 pound division? He is basically a Mayweather fight away from HOF status if he manages to scalp a few top fighters without the fix in place.

The fact he got whooped by Manny and lost to Khan, although a close fight, it doesn't help is resume much. The Provo win is a solid one but that's it.

The only thing stopping him from HOF status is the metaphorical cage he is currently locked in.

How much is his team paying for you to spout this propaganda. Algieri isn't top 10 at WW and would at least be lower top 10 at JWW.

1 great name on his resume, 2 good names.

    1. Pacquiao
    2. Khan
    3. Provodnikov

And he lost 2 of those.

He lost all 3 on my cards, but even that doesn't matter.

Resume only counts if you WIN a good number of these fights, not if you simply were in them.
Are we going to introduce Conroy Nelson into the HOF for fighting Ruddock, Berbick, Stewart, Tyson, Hide and Bowe? :blood
And that's just one example that came into mind, there are many journeymen who fought multiple ATG's in their career while never being any good in the first place.

Well De La Hoya has potentially the greatest resume of all time if we're not going off victories...

For people who DKSAB "resume" means you only have to fight great fighters not actually beat them
