In the Ufizi gallery in Florence italy there is a room so awesome you are literallly not allowed to go in, it (aside from other awesome stuff) contains one of the earliest depictions of Pankration, a greek form of MMA http://blog.museumsecrets.tv/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IMG_0032_wm.jpg

I was blown away when I saw it. Guy on the bottom needs to plant his shoulder and roll through. But the weirdest thing about it is the level of detail. Even HD pictures don't do it justice. You can literally see the veins in the arms carved from solid marble. The amount of time and dedication it takes to do something like that is mind boggling.

 

I've seen so much more of this world than I ever imagined. A rich girlfriend is a wonderful thing homie.

In Pankration if a guy was killed in the fight he was awarded the win.
