So I finally have a chance to join a gym. The problem is that I feel the gym monthly cost is quite expense. It's about an estimate of $1788 for a 12 month contract; that's $149 per month. Each session is 45 minutes long and 5 days a week.

I went in for a little training today and it seems like they know what they are talking about. They are friendly and welcoming. However, this gym does not have many competitive fighters; just one or two. It's mainly people who wants to get in shape or trying to lose weight.

I want to get competitive in boxing but these prices just seem outrageous to me. I'm just wondering what is the average gym cost? Am I getting hustled?

Thats way too much for 3 3/4 hours a week with only 1 or 2 sparring partners. Look for another, anything over 80-100 is too much.

that is too much for a 45 minute session. You should train for atleat 1 hour i usually train for 1.5 hours.

Look for a proper boxing gym, that boxercise gyms are no good..

That's outrageous. Is it the only gym in your neck of the woods? Is a personal trainer included in the price because that's really high...

I agree. He may not have any other options though.
