Interesting article from the New York Times about the growth of boxing gyms in Toledo, Ohio after the financially troubled school system cut many sports programs: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/27/us/27boxing.html?_r=1&hp
Awesome!!! As an educator (in urban KC) and boxing fan our kids needs activities to keep their minds off of gangs and drugs. Especially after hearing the story of someone like Brandon Rios who for all accounts was headed eventually to jail until boxing (and his wife) helped him turn his life around. For those who say that boxing is dead, Boxing is going nowhere!!
