    Hi guys,

Just wondering about gyms in Birmingham, either pro or amateur that I might be able to visit on Sat Sept 18th ahead of the Mag 7 bill.

Anyone know of any gyms in or around central Birmingham that'd be good to profile? Any ideas far Hall Green is from central Brum?

    Cheers,
    Dave.

Aston ABC isn't too far. That's who Don Broadhurst was with as an amateur I think.

Al Stevens gym just outside city centre on Bristol Rd, Richie Woodhall trains his fighters there, and I know Don Broadhurst trains there

Im nipping up Als gym soon, Ill let you know what its like, I need to get some gloves signed by Richie, and Don for my 5 yr old stepson, and soon to be born first son.

My stepson loves boxing, he watches all the sunday morning re runs with me, Pacman is his favourite, he loves the Hatton knockout, and wheneve he sees the Samuels/Renda double knockdown it makes him laugh.

hes as big as most 7 yr olds, and I have got him throwing a few combinations, too decent power for a kid.. needs to work on speed and footwork a bit though.. he might not be cut out for proper boxing as he likes a headbutt already .. and his chin aint up to much yet

start em young Frankie I tell ya, hes ok with jabs to the face, but a decent shot and hes over .. might start using gloves to soften the blows a bit for him .. hes learning to duck a bit now though and his defences have improved :D
