Dear me, Kelly Pavlik you have done boxing fans a favour. You have single handedly sorted the men from the boys. Whether you like him or not isnt the question as Pavlik is a decent fighter who has talent. The real divide that we have seen is the fanboys and the fans. Im not sure if a fighter has ever turned into a living God overnight the way Pavlik has. So I ask the question, why is this?
He kinda has the Ricky Hatton thing going on, down to earth guy, not Mr Flash, Joe-Public can relate to him.....trailer trash and all that (just kidding fanboys) I like the guy myself and look forward to seeing him fight everytime, his heavy hands are something to behold, but he aint got a bag of tricks and it aint nothing we havent saw before.
My issue isnt that I think he is crap, I believe he is a good fighter. But when you have seen the real Nigel Benn, you aint gonna rate the subpar version any better.
i like pavlik and i think he will do well as long as he stays at mw then moves up to smw later on in his career when he has more experience. he is dropping guys in mw and he has the right to be confident .but if he steps up to fight calzaghe now i think the loss will affect him mentally and may ruin his career. PAVLIK PLEASE STICK TO MW and clean that up for now.
Boxing fans are the worst because they're overly supportive of a fighter? Seriously? If you were going to make a case about boxing fans being some of the worst, you figure it'd be about downplaying the accolades of great fighters or referring to one loss fighters as "exposed" or "frauds" or "overhyped". Not because they have an insane love for one fighter.
Not as bad as the football fans here in the UK. i had to break some1z jaw to save some guy, cuz they were tryin to kill him because he from rival team
Yeah, I've heard a lot more stories about soccer/football riots and violence taking place among the fans than I have of boxing fans. What about that player in South America, I think Colombia, who may (I've heard different stories) have been murdered because he kicked the ball into his own goal, costing the team the game? When they killed him, they shouted "goal" as they were firing their guns.
