yea we got a taste of how life could be during the hype for Mayweather/DLH. hopefully it doesnt take another 5 years for a fight of that magnitude to happen again, or at least for people to start talking boxing like they were during that 15 minutes of fame boxing had.

Boxing won't rise up until the ABC orgs disappear and fights stop costing 50 bucks.

Boxing needs one uniting entity that cares about the sport, not just making money.
Most other sports have a single body that is responsible for the well-being of the entire sport, sure they generally also have a financial interest in the health of the sport which is fair enough. Boxing has too many competing elements. Fighters that want to make as much money as they can in an uncertain, very short career (can't blame them for that). Promoters who generally care about nothing but how much they can make for themselves in the next fight (greedy *******s). Sanctioning bodies that only care about their own existence and making money, certainly not the fighters and often it seems not even the fans (self-defeating idiots).

If one looks at the NFL as an example, the owners are competitive but also know that the health of the entire league benefits their franchise adding value to it. They act as a coillective of interested parties and the sport usually benefits from this mentality.

The big question is how does boxing get from here to there?

NFL also has players who like to play short careers and make money while in it. I know that wasnt the point of what u just wrote but i just realized that.
