Boxing History With No Weight Classes

    In this alternate reality, to fight for the title, you have to fight the big guy. Any smaller guys in history besides Fitzsimmons grab the belt?

    My guess is Sam Langford would be pretty successful - him against Valuev would be a good one to see under those circumstances

    The modern guys are probably the best chance as these are the days of fractured belts and where it has been proved that past their best old middleweights can compete. Imagine what younger versions would ahve done.

    Hopkins, Toney, Byrd and jones jr would be interesting. Byrd actually did make it interesting. I dont see any other era where middles can compete as effectively as they could today.
