Everyone wants to argue the boxing vs. mma. I think everyone on both sides needs to read up on history. American boxing was created by the US goverment. Money street fights were bare knuckle. These were pit fights for money and men fought with all they had. Mostly poor men, immigrants. These fights were broken up and were illegal. Rules rules and more rules changed the art of American boxing. Large crowds were drawn and athletic commisions were formed and the rules got tougher. Gloves...thicker gloves...and even thicker gloves. Actual rounds were created to protect fighters. These street fights were formed into boxing. Who knows were the sport of boxing may be now if rules were not made 100 years ago. MMA uses many aspects of boxing. A ring, rounds, gloves (which will get thicker in time), cornermen, cutmen (finally got some good ones ...x-boxing cutmen...), round card girls, Dana White did tell Chuck Liddell that if he wants to fight under the UFC he needs to keep it on his feet more!, weightclasses, belts,...... and so on. Boxing isn't going anywhere. Its been here for 100 some years. Lets see where MMA is 100 years from now. If it wasn't for Forrest Griffith "standing toe to toe" with Stephan Bonner, the sport would have been Spiked! Two different forms of entertainment. Period.
Considering Chuck was fighting in the UFC before Dana had anything to do with it, and Dana was his manager before Zuffa bought the UFC and Dana become president, along with the fact that Chuck has always used his extensive wrestling background to mostly keep the fight on the feet, including his fights before he fought in the UFC, no, he ****ing did not you ****ing ****.
****ing ****! Damn big balls. He said it in the interview before he was walked down and dropped by a decent boxing skilled fighter named Rampage. I think he used his boxing aspect of mixed martial arts to beat him. It was a little bio. ****.....???? Damn, do you know me? Your mom know your on this late?
