While technically he is just 2 steps away from being the man, those 2 steps are big steps.

Ortiz is far better than anyone he has fought so far and of course Joshua must be seen as a big favourite at the moment. Wilder has a punchers chance but Joshua probably hits even harder than Wilder according to Jason Gavern who has fought both of them, in a recent interview he said Joshua hit harder.

Wilder is no where near a great. no current heavyweights are.
    klitscko was the last great.
joshua has the possiblity but its way too soon yet.
Wilder hasn't fought anyone and has a inflated record feasting on bums.

If he does the things you say, that would put him in the solid top ten range. If he adds another handful of solid title defense, and beats someone who goes on to dominate after he retires, all without losing once, then that would put him in the discussion for GOAT.

Highly unlikely it would happen, but it would be amusing to see the collective heads of all the committed Wilder haters explode.

Wrong. If he beats Joshua, and unifies all 4 titles, he's automatically in all historical conversations. Same goes for anyone else.

Joshua hasn't either. 41 year old ex champions who are done are called ATGs but when Joshua fought him, he was well past his prime.

LOL Wilder still wouldn't have fought that Wlad... And if he did grow some and fight him he'd have lost. Joshua >>> Wilder everyday of the week.
