There is nothing wrong with 'boxercise' which is using boxing as a means to get fit. It is all about what your looking for. If you are looking to get fit, lose weight e.t.c then boxercise classes are an excellent way of doing this. The only problem is when people confuse the two. Boxercise really has nothing to do with actual boxing in terms of learning to compete in the ring. They are two completely different things and as I said there is nothing wrong with either, just know what your looking for before you do it.

I teach a class each week.

I am also an actual boxing coach though, so my manliness is in-tact. :deal

I prefer to call it fitness boxing.

Boxercise has some gay vibe in it.

Anyway Im in real boxing now, so I should get some man point from it

  9. Ill take the boxing fitness classes if i cant make it to the gym early enough. They can be brutal and diverse where i train but the main differamce is they dont instruct Any technique. Ok maybe a few points if youre keen during 1 round of padwork with a top trainer but it is purely intended for fitness. In saying that if youre an amatuer who knows what to work on the classes where i train atleast give you plenty if flexibility to work it during classes

Boxercise with some know it all personal trainers are cringeworthy. Definitely goto a real gym with trainers

Its a no brainer if you want to learn to box and fight then go to a boxing gym. If you just wanna keep fit then go for fitness class. Nothng wrong with either.

However i do have a problem with some personal trainers i see doing pads that havent got a clue how to hold them to the point where it looks like the client could get injured! Especially getting them to throw wild swinging hooks and uppercuts! Theres no need for this for fitness imo and even less to get people to "duck" under pads without proper technique! Someones gunna slip a disc
