I'm an extreme **** talker on here, but inalways give credit where it's due and am as helpful as I can be to anyone that asks, even if we haven't seen eye to eye in the past. And for all the mongs I've slayed, there are as many n00bs that I've championed that have become an integral part of the fun! There's one guy recently that I marked out as top class after ONE POST and it seems many others appreciate having him around as well :tong

Good bunch on here, I just want good debate :good

Yeah a grand a month at a minimum to be covered, but I'd suggest more if you can and even more on top of that if you plan alot of grappling with the female natives!:yep

If you're not a complete mong you should be able to pull nice and easy in Thailand anyway.....but havin' the odd 20 quid is a godsend when you do see a 10 out of 10 that isn't in a disco :hey

one more thing were well travelled and thai is a easy language to talk when it comes to phrases, ( which gets you about, as others av said the true Thailand is up North (although I done Koh Lanta, muslim Island) Up North Your not far from Burma, Loas (which is a must we heard) and Veitnam

Yep, I love Burma and the timing's very very good to visit now as it's starting to open up more. All the neighbouring countries have some thing for you, depending on taste. Personally Cambodia and Burma have alot, but for me Thailand is king and by far the easiest and best to base yourself in.

"Thai phrases are easy", kind of but your pronunciation needs to be very clear when not in a tourist area, watch those tones and speak slowly.:deal

The real Thailand is everywhere, the norh, the south, the central plain, and BKK, but peolpe always stress Issan in the N.E. when it comes to boxing.

It's a well played out scam on Phuket particulalry.

When those 3 epsiodes of big trouble in Thailand came out most expats smelt a rat. The word was it's a mixture of reality and staged fiction.

Somewhere on Thaivisa.com the expat forum it gives you the low down.
