Pulling boxing out of schools goes back to when a boxer from Wisconsin was killed at a national tournament back in the 70's.

Grammar school, they do not have programs associated with school.
Undergrad studies and above - http://www.collegeboxing.org
They offer scholarships and have a boxing associated solely for college competition.

Can't blame parents for not wanting it taught at schools.

    1. Unless they were to bring in proper coaches, a PE teacher is not qualified to oversee a boxing class.

    2. A good boxing gym has a totally different atmosphere to a school. Gym's are all about discipline and respect, can't really say the same for schools! The kids would run riot.

Stick to badminton during PE class and continue to treat Boxing as an after school activity where it can be taught and learnt properly.
