Hey Guys, A fella from Sydney has asked me which pubs in Sydney regularly screen boxing and MMA stuff. Given that I am from Tas I had buggar all of an idea, so thought I may as well ask you guys. Ideally, something around Balmain, anything is better than nothing though.
I think just about any pub in Sydney shows you fights... All you have to do is annoy the bouncers enough & you'll have no end of stoushes
I usually go to the casino, or Scruffy's. Both show a fair amount of fights, the casino provides a more comfortable viewing experience whereas Scruffy's is kind of like moe's Tavern.
Gotta say, I reckon the swans club in the cross is one of the best boxing venues. Watched Cal/Hopkins there and will prolly head there for every fight now... they play some mma too
how far is the Swans club in the cross from the Sydney Airport? hwo much would a cab cost from the Airport?
It's not that close - $40 in a cab i would say. look at www.131500.com to go on the journey planner and you might get there cheaper. That being said, there are places much closer who will prolly play most fights - not sure what they are though sorry.
Probably $40-45 I reckon, but it is a pretty shithouse place to watch the fight. If you're going that far from the airport, Beach Road Hotel in Bondi has far better atmosphere IMHO. Why do you have such a long time in transit at the airport?
Bondi would be $50+ from the airport.. I hit Swans club now cause it plays all fights, isn't crammed like Murphy's, cheap drinks and no wankers... just dudes who are keen to watch a fight.d
