Boxing-insider says $may and alverez competing for may 4 date

and both fighters are looking at the same 6 opponents for said may 4th date

gbp has said that obviously if $may decides to fight on said date he will get top billing and promotion for his bout but alverez competing on the same date perhaps on a showtime ppv event is not out of the ? And it wont be the first time hbo and showtime went up against each outer (tom right) of gbp also went on to say that both fighters headlining the same event on the same network (hbo) is also not out of the ? I.e alverez in a co main event vs.. On of the 6 and $ may headlining vs... One of the 6 obviously this would lead up to a show down with mayweather and alverez in the fall of 2013 (providing they both win) the 6 opponents that both $may and alverez are interested in are

    #1 k9

    #2 trout

    #3 kell brook

    #4 james kirkland

    #5 zaurbek baysangurov

    #6 erislandy lara

Interesting... Old Money Vs. New Money.
    (Poor K-9... lol)

    I'd settle for:
Mayweather Vs. Bundrage & Alvarez Vs. Trout.
    (Same night... Winners square off)

I seen this from a mile away Canelo and schaefer tried to strong arm Floyd like Manny tried to do with Cotto recently

Canelo is probably in Vegas right now on hands and knees begging Floyd, I love it:lol:

  6. lol.

Both looking at the same opponents for the same date but not each other. Mayweather will never fight Canelo... mark my words.

Don't know how all this plays out but a split-site ppv with Mayweather headlining and Alvarez on the undercard would be an excellent idea.

Alvarez could still fight Cotto and it would sell out their venue and w/o it being the ppv headliner there won't be quite as much blowback about him facing Cotto. An Alvarez-Cotto fight as an undercard fight instead of the main event is a lot easier to swallow.

Mayweather could face whoever he faces, sell out his venue, and would be the ppv headliner. This would further set-up a Mayweather-Alvarez fight possibly later this year.

I think they end up fighting on different dates and still face each other later this year but them sharing a ppv card sounds good.

I also think that's the best case SCENARIO I hate when there is two competing ppv's plus I think they make more $ on the same card and the build up of the 2 winners squaring off in the fall would be huge
ps. I think k9 deserves the payday but im not sure if gbp will risk putting alverez in with trout i really hope im wrong could be the best fight card in a long long time

Canelo needs to head line his own PPV, if he truly wants big money in a Floyd fight:nono

For all we know Canelo might not be the draw GB says he is, he has been hiding on Floyd's undercards, this is chess and not checkers......If Canelo and GB want Floyd like they say they do, they have to kiss his ass from now to May. And with Canelo plan ruined and a big money fight completely diminished, they have no type of hand in this situation, they damn sure don't want to try to do head to head ppv, or even have a PPV on simply have a fight the same night as Floyd, FMJ once again holds all the cards

Cotto star power is faded, his *****/obnoxious post match ways aint making him anymore popular:lol:

I can't see myself even excited to watch his matches anymore let alone buy them

Mayweather fighting Trout would be a statement but so would be Canlo fighting Triout.
