Anyone in the uk got any sports cover for injuries ect for boxing

When i first started boxing my boss told me that i would need it as work would not cover loss of earnings due to a sports accident ( dont remember any of the girls playing netball or going the gym getting the same talk but meh)

i never bothered with it as i wasnt that serious and it started out just as a fitness thing...... its not anymore lol :yep

However iv also been out about 6 months with a shoulder injury that really could do with proper sports physio however the expense is just unrealistic for me and wondered weather insurance would also have covered this.

Just wondered what people would recommend / their experiences in this area?

I don't know much about this topic. But I used to work for an insurance department for a large bank and we would not insure boxers for time taken off work as we deemed any injuries caused were self inflicted by boxing. That was just that company but it maybe the case with most if not all insurance companies and even if you can find a company that would insure you, you'd probably have to pay and outrageous premium.

Good but make sure you read the terms and conditions and if you are unsure of any parts get clarification because having worked in insurance I can tell you if an insurance company can get out of paying it will do so hence why the terms and conditions are always so complicated.

yeh i know thats what i thought thats why i was after peoples oppinions, the thing that set it off was seeing a physio about my shoulder and the initial consultation was 110 quid which is obviously unrealistic, and the sights i went on did cover physio however when you read the small print it meant physio after hospitalization.
