As soon as anyone familiar with boxing saw that the fight was in danger, there was no question that it might be Pacquiao's camp at fault. You just knew it had to be Mayweather farting around, trying to gain some niggling little advantage, to exercise his need for control-freakery.

The whole thing is utterly ludicrous. Can anyone imagine a Usain Bolt race being jeoparised because an opponent was suspicious of his speed, and was demanding extra-curricular blood tests *of his own choosing*? Can anyone imagine a Rafael Nadal tennis match being endangered because his opponent was suspicious of the size of his bicep, and was demanding special blood tests before he agreed to play? It's a total farce, and shows boxing in the light of something more akin to WWE wrestling than a serious competitive sport.

The whole point of having drug tests in professional sport is that they are
    1) Centrally controlled by an independent body
    2) The same for everyone

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is the body with the remit to organise drug tests, and to be honest, Mayweather is openly bringing the sport into disrepute by his actions - and should be sanctioned by the licensing bodies.

You're a moron. The olympics already have stringent drug testing. Boxings drug testing is a joke. Your boy wouldnt take a pin ***** to the finger and now the most anticipated fight in 20 years is down the drain. What a waste

boxing was better when floyd was retired. now that he came back, he pulled 2 ***** moves. fight a lightweight and ignored the weight agreement and came 2 pounds heavier. and now this ***** ass move trying to form a mayweather athletic commission on his own and bringing NSAC and the sports of boxing into question. floyd could stay retired and only a handful of his fans would miss his bitchy ass.

Gayweather is a chicken****. Wouldn't fight Moseley, wouldn't fight Cotto, wouldn't fight Williams. Can any of that be disputed?

Add Pac to the list. Floyd ducked Pac. End of.

Your not smart enough to understand the points.

Why have you been following boxing then? How long have you been following the sport of boxing if it's a joke. Wasted time?

It's kind of pathetic when you look at boxings big picture. It really looks on par with MMA in that they don't have a centralized commission/sanctioning body.

Most other major sports are organized. FIA for autoracing, UCI for cycling, IOC for amateurs, ATP, NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL... even soccer here and abroad. WTF boxing, get your **** together and maybe then you could keep your employee's from acting out and ruining lucrative and historic events.

besides the Pac-Floyd debacle. I think Boxing's doing just fine. its just the politicking and the little things that expose the newcomer to what can be ugly about it.

Lots of politicking behind closed doors.

Of course it can be disputed you stupid *******.

    1. Mayweather called out Mosley twice, Mosley declined both times. Its on record.

    2. Bob Arum wouldnt let Floyd fight Cotto, said he was too green. Cotto never called out Mayweather nor attempted to make a fight with him.

    3. Williams? Mayweather was retired by the time Williams won a major title. You're a dope.

And how did Mayweather duck Pac when it was Pac who wouldnt agree to testing. Mayweather was supposed to know Pac is afraid of needles lol?

I have been a boxing fan for over 4 decades. PBF and Pac are not important enough to turn boxing into "a mess." Compared to the totality of the international boxing scene PBF and Pac, taken together, add up to less than a fart in the wind.

Two fighters in the entire sport not fighting, no matter if it is the biggest fight to be made, will not mess up the entire sport. The sport will live with or without it.

You're a pretty harsh guy, where did you get your degree from?
I never heard such a boxing scholar/sports medicine doctor go off on so many people so quickly.

What are your credentials to call drug testing in boxing a joke?
How many pro fights have you had, how many drug tests did they give you?
How many steroids did you get away with taking?
