That's why it's alive. That's why it thrives.

That's why boxers box. That's why fans watch.

So why the hate on pac-de la hoya...They wanted $, and they will now get A LOT more than any other fight they could've taken...We want action and entertainment; THIS WILL BE an action fight and a very entertaining one...Despite the calls they DLH will win easily, vegas doesn't seem to agree.

Because fans, at least the hardcore ones like those who frequent message boards, want to see good matchups. The best matchups usually involve two guys of the same size.

Because it won't be entertaining. It's gonna be a small guy way out of his weight class trying to cover up and run from a much bigger guy way past his prime, who can't sustain an effort to close the show.

And to make matters worse it does nothing for boxing long term. People will tune in to see it and tune out in disgust. The sport loses fans when DLH fights, as of recently anyways.

Usually they involve someone of the same size...

But what boxing fans SHOULD want is competitive, entertaining fights. Thats why we watch. That's what this fight is expected to be. Yet there's so much hate for this fight and talk of boycotting etc. I dont get it.

Why wouldn't it be entertaining? Oscar's fights are more often than not entertaining fights. Pac-Man's fights are always entertaining. Pac Man is an action fighter. Oscar will want to KO Pac-Man and will be an action fighter.

Not too many people here expect the fight to be competitive and entertaining. Mostly everyone thinks DLH is too big.

There's much better matchups for both guys, from a pure boxing standpoint, to be made.

DLH against any junior middleweight titlist, or welterweights like Margarito or Williams.

Pacquiao against guys like Soto, Valero, Guzman, Marquez 3, etc....

Instead we get a guy who's been at 147 and above since 1997, against a guy who's fought just once above 130. They fought on a PPV card in 2001. DLH winning a title at 154, Pacquiao winning a title at 122.

    That's why people are unhappy.

yes it is about money but its also about the fights. Pacman is way too small but I'll still watch it.

I just told you why it wouldn't be entertaining. I don't think for a second that Manny will stand in front of Oscar looking to bang. He's gonna take advantage of Oscar's stamina, reflexes and speed by making DLH chase him. Just like Mayweather did.

But Pac Man's defense isn't like mayweathers...Thus more action...Pac Man is more active than mayweather...Thus more action.

Pacman is more active but dont you think it would be kind of a dumb idea for him to bang with a MUCH bigger guy?

I'm sure he's gonna get on his bike and use his speed to try and tire Oscar out. We all know he has stamina issues.
