The judging system needs to change, they should have random (but proven) people do it from a separate location and be paid a standard fee by the commission who in turn should charge the promoters.

Sadly, Boxing is the only sport in which a fair outcome is more shocking than outright corruption.

 

Boxing is a joke sport at this point. Chinchecking is the only thing that makes it worth following.

 

This is why MMA is such a growing sport.

 

I don't think it's a clean sport but you look back in its history and when has it ever been clean? The championship fights tend to be clean which is the main thing, dodgy judging excepted.

 

Honestly, it is hard to take the sport seriously with decisions like that - and it happens all the time. Its' a niche sport at the moment.

 

What I find strange about proffessional boxing is the ******ed skill levels of a lot of top fighters. For example, have you noticed how many so-called "good boxers" don't even have a good jab? I mean, even a good amateur should have a jab developed good enough such that it scores points, acts as a battering ram and negates an opponents speed/timing. You don't even need training to develop a top-notch jab - this can be done at home with some bag work. And yet....so many proffessional lack a good jab! Just what are these people being taught?
