Not every one is equal physically in this sport of boxing you ****ing door nob, which is why boxer have different skills sets and strengths and a winning mentality to make they're style work. If a smaller fighter can use his skill and mind to beat and out smart a fighter bigger and stronger then him self , that a skill to be admired not frowned upon, because not every one is capable of doing it .

It fan like you that can not appreciate true boxing skill and think that all fights and fighter should resembled a rocky movie ... Did you ever stop and think , the reason MMA is so popular is because most of the fighter's stand up is reckless or garbage which make for easy KOs ,and you can slam your opponent through the mat , that what makes the sport so exciting for most fan but , unless you know jujitsu your more then likely to get bored and start booing when the fight goes to the ground in what looks like Homo butt sex.
so like boxing MMA has aspect of its game that most fans don't understand or don't appreciate , so a skilled fighter like floyd would bore you to tears but for fans who appreciate every aspect of the sport floyd skills is respected.

just to prove me point reckless strikers , a fighter like Kimbo would have never came off the street with out any back ground in the sport of boxing and been able to headline fight cards and make 6 figures pay day in only his 3rd fight , but he did in MMA . why be cause most fan love reckless violence like yourself and are willing to pay for it even if the guy is unskilled.

the remark you made about boxing fan supporting the former p4p boxing king Floyd who you called a runner...for one the man does not run its called boxing know the difference , funny that most boxer and MMA practitioner recognize floyd as one of boxing best skilled fighter todate, not once have I heard one them call him a runner .

MMA is very lucky in one area , it has only one guy that governs the entire sport instead of a bunch pimps called promoters joking for space.

ps no disrespect to mma I just so happen to be a fan of jujitsu .

What Spinks did vs Taylor was a shame to the sport of boxing and any fan can approve that.As was Baldomir vs Floyd. Also very boring for it's hype was Oscar vs Floyd.Fighters like Spinks make the sport lose fans, and that bull**** decision with Mayorga toped it.

what a shame is that Taylor didn't KO a former welter weight , what a shame is that mayorga doesn't have any skilled and got out box by a guy with no punch .

Baldimor entered the ring against floyd at 160, so your saying floyd should have gone toe to toe with boldimer , given that boldimir only advantage was his size and strength. ?

Taylor vs Spinks was a joke and you got to be on drugs to enjoy that,it was very boring.Mayorga won that fight, they took 2 points from him and didn't call an obvious KD in the 12th to give it to Spinks, that was disgraceful to watch. And the other one was another ''fight that saves boxing''.

Exactly, especially in your llast paragraph where you said the majority of fighters now have no personalities. Thats where the hype begins, guys like Tyson knew this, throw a punch during a weigh-in, who gives a **** if it costs him 20,000, that just means there will be more people watching it on PPV.

Here's an example, last summer I was trying to get my friends to chip in on the Winky/Hopkins fight, they all said they rather go to the bar, but the day before the fight during the weigh-in, they see Hopkins ***** slap Winky, now I'm getting calls from them asking me to get the fight because they want to see it. The real fans will always be there, but for average guy to want to see it, there needs to be hype surrounding it. Thats the only way boxing will get more popular, there just needs to be more characters thats all.

The bars probably had the UFC Fightcard showing though.
Yeah, boxing's decreased in popularity, I tried to discuss boxing and why I like it and my friend pretty much said "**** Boxing", and that's the attitude of most people today it seems.

I think its because your typical boxing fan stays at home nice and comfy or goes to see it live, while the MMA guys are running around bars-clubs and ****. the MMA crowd is of a younger demographic.
