Boxing is dying in Australia.

I've been a boxing fan my whole life & have started to watch the mma as well. I enjoy both sports. It seems that mma fighters arn't so concerned about protecting their perfect fight logs & with that pressure off seem to fight the very best out there win or lose. Boxers these days seem too overly concerned on padding their fight logs with big W's against nobodies until the big payday comes. Maybe its the fans that create this as, as soon as a fighter losers ie Cotto against Pac, they seem to stick the fork in Cotto & say he's done instead of applauding him for a great effort in a losing fight. The ol saying should always apply ' there's no loser in a great fight against well matched opponents'! Thats my 2 bobs worth anyway.

Boxing isn't dying in this country, it is already dead. You can't watch top class boxing on TV unless you pay $50 for the privilege. There is no coverage whatsoever of the top 20 P4P fighters in newspapers, radio, TV in this country. The average dumb **** bogan idiot in this country only knows Greeny, Mundine and Tyson (they probably still think Tyson fights) and the rubbish that foxsports puts on Friday nights couldn't be called boxing it is so bad and the commentators/journalists/even so called knowledgeable people in the sport talk nonsense.
We currently have a legit fighter in Geale at middleweight but no one knows who he is which is a shame.

 

If boxing is dead in this country, then why don't you **** off back to Israel you sulking MMA arse licker.
Rather than paying $50 for a PPV, get out of your arm chair and visit a local pub, enjoy a beer and watch the fights.

Geale has all the celebrity status he needs to ensure PPV success. Grange don't need to bang the drum, as Geale is doing all he needs to make huge $$$. So what if the press are not payed to write bull**** about him. He's already achieved more BOXING success than Mundine & Green combined...

He fights and behaves like a real champion.

 

Settle down old man. Keep your sanitary pad on. I agree with you regarding Daniel Geale. He is a legit good fighter and great person. I stand by what i said earlier in that the average sports fan in this country only knows Greeny. Mundine and Tyson which is what the problem is.

 

The sports fans you speak to must be very average.
