Boxing is totally ruined by the people in charge. It's a great sport if run correctly but it isn't and it's hard to see it ever recover with so many other sports for young people to watch and get involved in these days.

Another factor is that it is so hard to follow for the average person in certain countries. You need to be either internet savvy or a fool to hand over $50 a time to watch the sport. It's not accessible to the fans at all.

Agree to disagree! Klits are massive all over Europe, particularly Eastern Europe notably Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland etc. Vitali moved 16K tix in peace loving Switzerland against the Kingpin Johnson for ****'s sake! Sure they are not Tysonesque in the States but they can still sell over 15K tix at the Staples or the Garden, name me one American born boxer currently doing that?

It is pretty big market therefore nothing to scoff at! As a matter of fact, it is probably the future of the sport whether you like it or not!

Boxing needs fresh faces in its administration and media circles.
Other sports continue to blood younger people with fresh ideas, however this is rare in boxing.
I enjoy watching boxing, but i get sick of the same old faces at all the fight nights patting each other on the back and talking about the good old days.
In some ways, going to a fight night is like going back in time.

A Klitschko fight could turn a profit here. But wouldn't make even a portion of what they do for fights elsewhere, and for that reason won't happen IMO.
