Boxing is Dying?

  1. MMA is some dumb ****. Boring clinches and wrestling that last for like 10 minutes.
Boxing is the manly thing to do. MMA is so homo-erotic

calling it dumb is pretty ignorant. Boxing isn't the only combat sport.

Haven't you ever seen some boring ass boxing fights before?

Both sports complement each other is some respect.

Bernstein makes some great points. The mainstream media will talk more about a horse race or a dispute between two NASCAR drivers than about fights not including Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather. But as far as the talent level in the sport goes, no doubt boxing is in a depression right now. When you have guys like Saul Alvarez, Erislandy Lara, and Miguel Cotto at the top of 154, Amir Khan and Sergio Martinez ruling 140 and 160, and a 46, nearly 47-year old Bernard Hopkins sitting at the light heavyweight throne, you know boxing has seen better days.

What Bernstein said is solid but common knowledge among dedicated followers of boxing. What I did note, is that after his reference to the JMM and Pac fight, his statements were made as if Pac had won the fight.:think Boxing is not dying but its getting killed. Its being strangled by greed, politics and over-hyping fighters.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Bernstein is missing one of the main problems.

Imagine Foreman - Ali, Frazier - Ali, Leonard - Hagler, Leonard - Hearns. Then pretend those fights never happened.

That is boxing today. Two all time greats in same division and the fight can not be made. You have to question a sport that can't produce a legitimate championship with two clear cut P4P near prime fighters. The politics is pathetic
