No meaningful fight until November Ward vs Kovalev and that's an IF at this point.
We have the Fury Wlad rematch that's been pushed back to late October
    Floyd gone
    Manny gone
    Cotto almost gone
    Canelo fighting weak opposition
    GGG can't get a fight :(
Hopefully the Welters and Heavyweights can pick up the sport.

People call me crazy for stating the real. People like drama and B.S.. These fights are great, it's just that the fighters can't sell themselves if their fight came with a 8ball of coke and a skank.

The only fighter with the gift of gab is Broner but he can't fight above B level.

Mayweather's shadow is overlooking the sport. It will do so for a while, but it will eventually go away and boxing will be at the top once again.

It's not as bad as people make out.
    Thurman-Porter peaking 3.9mil
Anthony Joshua is a huge sports star in the UK and Ireland
Canelo maybe fighting Saunders on free tv
GGG probably fighting Eubank in a megafight

In another 2 years when glolovkin is a ppv star, a megafight between canelo and him will just be like maypac, and it will deliver.
After AJ becomes a PPV star in the US, a big fight will be Joshua-Wilder.

Boxing is slowly gaining back the fans it lost from maypac. Give it time.

I've been thinking it's picking up, some interesting matches being made etc - certainly Alvarez being a big chicken, Fury being injured and possibly a cheat, the Wilder/Povetkin thing all have made a bump in the expected year's excitement but all is not lost... if all that went smoothly this would be / could be one of the better years in ages. GGG vs Eubank could be fun, btw.

Yes Fury is a great example. He single handedly brought excitement back to the HW division.

Don't care for Cruz Frampton these guys are too small
Postol Crawford will be a good fight. Just don't care much for 140 either.

I know. It's embarrassing. The sport can't catch a break. We need someone to take the mantle and steer this thing back into the right direction whether it be a overall governing body, a specific fighter, whatever.

Call me a casual i just dont really care about what happens in the lighter divisions. Now if the Lomas and Framptons are fighting on the undercards of the big boys then I'll watch.

For example there are more no blink moments at 154 and up. Jermell Charlo vs Jackson ended with one big punch. Jacobs vs Quillin. Fonfara vs Joe Smith, etc. I feel as if the smaller boys that weight as much as an average girl throw pitty patty punches. Thats why all the boxing movies have light heavy weight and up!

But there are still plenty of good fights below 154 and plenty of s**t fights above 154.
