I cant see why people dig at Floyd. He was a SFW, who has gone through the divisions and is now mainly fighting at WW, though has been as high as LMW.
Not sure how anyone thinks Floyd is playing it safe by rematching a fighter who gave him a very close competitive fight and look at the previous fighters in Canelo, Guerrero, Cotto etc. All of these fighters have come off a good performance/win

 

Floyd gets judged, bailey, because he calls himself 'TBE' but never made the one fight that really mattered
he's a great fighter, there's no doubt about that, and full respect for you for posting on him (which you wouldn't have done a few years ago), but he invites the criticism

 

Floyd has a genuine claim to being the best. I bet when Floyd is retired and we look at all time top 10s, Floyd will be somewhere in there.
The one fight is obviously the Pacquiao fight (Another great fighter), but I dont know the full facts as to why it didnt happen and have read many posters commenting on both. what I would say is look at the resume of both and neither could be accused of taking the easy route and I doubt either boxer didnt want it.
Why say i wouldnt have posted on Floyd a few years ago? This is you flying the flag again atsch.
I give credit, to all, but with you, you are only aware of boxing in your own country and are unaware of what goes on elsewhere. I am a fan of the sport, you should be to, if posting on a boxing forum

 

Who cares what he calls himself? We supposed to be boxing fans which means we watch how the fighters stack up against each other regardless of what their nicknames are. Are you saying if he changed his nickname to "modest, bashful mayweather" you'd assess his career differently? name me ONE other in HISTORY who fought 8 world champs ( maidana, ortiz, canelo, guerrero, cotto, hatton, marquez, mosley) back to back to back without a break like floyd...There ISN'T one...instead of cherry-picking floyd has been fighting the toughest schedule of anybody in boxing. the absolute toughest. i know it's impossible for a hater to give credit, but consider that he's also fighting way above his weight against guys that are mostly much younger and bigger and those guys STILL want special gloves and STILL want to foul him and rough him up UFC-style, and he's beaten them all like child's play. The truth is all this talk about "duckweather" is completely bogus bull**** and people who talk like that either dksab or have no self-respect.

The first Maidana fight wasn't easy, doubt the rematch will be. Canelo, RG, Ortiz,JMM was easy i'll give you that.
