alot of my mates don't watch it because of a couple of reasons:

    1) They think that fights are fixed

    2) Not enough big fights (they have a point)

    3) Fighters to taking risks and fighting the best instead they fight C Level fighters (they have a point there also)

Trying to tell people what Boxing is, is like what Louis Armstrong said about Jazz, " if you have to ask, then you'll never know " what he is trying to say is, that you have to actually play or when it comes to boxing, you have to fight, to understand it, if you've done it then you don't have to ask, you will know.

Boxing isn't a sport. Sports emerged in their various forms during the 19th century, and are still in their infancy compared with boxing. Sports are not as physically, mentally or emotionally demanding as boxing, they are games people play. Boxing is bigger than any era of its life you talk about. Essentially it is an impulse that has been with man since day one and has evolved from then till now. It will always have peaks and troughs, it will disappear and reappear but as long as man walks this earth it will always be. SO TAKE YOUR BAGS OF WIND AND **** OFF.

Theres probably an eight year old Tyson out there somewhere shadow boxing in his bedroom as you're writing. I love how as soon as some dynamite kid comes along leaving opponents in crumpled heaps, all talk of boxing disappears. MMA, please, this is a passing spectacle appealing only to the most base elements of human curiosity.
