Right, but he is coming off surgery and the atmosphere should be pretty ridiculous. I'm extra curious to see how he looks with his manager having mentioned the two highest rated MWs under him as options for the Fall.
Aristhropic surgery really isn't a serious surgery though lol, although Martinez is a boxer who uses his legs to hell. No Athlete has ever had their careers hampered by this surgery. He'll completely demolish Murray :deal
MVC arthroscopic surgery has ended alot of careers. Its a short cut surgery for athletes that lets them get back sooner, it doesnt always workout good because they dont go in there an cut you open. Ive had it on my shoulder. The knees an shoulder are nothing to play with
Good grief. You might as well say that ankle sprains are career threatening injuries. Martinez has said nothing about a delay in his training, nothing about side effects. He's had professional help, professional treatment, he will be back to full form come the 27th. If he loses to Murray, there is NO excuse. Kyle Singler in the NBA had the same surgery. Came back after 3 weeks lol.
no real boxing fan thinks its all about Floyd. The guy puts on a good show and is a good charater but most real boxing fans aren't fussed about floyd. The guy has given us one entertaining fight in about 10 years (Cotto fight) So i can hardly see how a sport wouldnt survive without him
Myself, I see boxing getting bigger and bigger. It could use a little help in the states (maybe a great heavyweight), but Europe, Asia, South America it is huge, and seems to be getting bigger. Fights on tv all the time now on all sorts of different channels. To me, there are plenty of other fighters beside Floyd out there (not a real huge Floyd fan, respect for him, but not really my cup of tea) Granted, the average Joe on the street will probably not be able to tell you who is on Friday Night Fights, but I can live with that. Just look at this website, with all of these passionate, knowledgeable fans, and you know the game is ok. Granted, it will never be as popular as the NFL, but I am more than happy with the state of the game
I don't think anyone really believes the sport is all about Floyd...he's the poster boy of the sport because of his Longevity and ability to draw huge PPV numbers but there's a lot of great fights out there outside of Floyd and his division. Floyd's just like the Super Bowl of boxing where everyone else are like regular season and playoff games. PAC is also like the super bowl in terms of how much excitement there is when he is headlining a card.
Yea in the same boat as you. Most of my friends don't know about anybody else besides mayweather and .pac but I have converted a few.
