I fell asleep with my TV tuned into Spike TV. I can vouch for 1 person out of those 4.6mill that wasnt really watching...ME
This is the only thing that pisses me off about mma. The fights make so much money and the fighters basically get the scraps of it. I think the title fights might generate like $200k at the most for the winning fighter. There's going to be a strike before long by all the fighters. Bet on it!
those of you touting boxings good upcoming fights need to thank MMA for it. . . its the competition they bring that is pushing boxing to be more competative.
UFC bored me to death i tried viewing this champion vs champion show and i felt at sleeep and when i woke up i quickly change the channel and had a lot of fun then watching sponge bob.
That is very true. A healthy MMA helps boxing. Competition is always good, it forces both sports to try their best to be as entertaining as possible.
LOL!! This doens't mean boxing is so far behind fool! How many people do you think would have watch DLH vs FLOYD if it were free on cable TV numb nuts? ****...2.2 Million people shelled out $55 for that boxing event!! This was free and had about 50% viewers...thats' not a lot considering it was FREE! Get a grip homie.
ufc isn't the same catagory as boxing - it's more like entertainment e.g. wrestling and dancing competitions. ufc is novalty....typical fight, a couple of badly aimed playground punches then grab the crap out of eachother and try to break arms and strangle the other guy. boxing is dignified.
Damn...it's not that bad (UFC/MMA)....there are some very poorly put together events in MMA just like in Boxing. THere are things like "Tough man Comp" that is crap. But you need skill in boxing and in MMA to be successful at the highest level. There is a little more depth than badly aimed playground punces and trying to pull each other to the ground. You gotta know that, unless you are just completely against MMA to which I say your Point of view is biased and not worth debating. If you don't have anything against MMA then you just don't know what MMA is or what it takes to compete. I say the same to MMA fans who say you only need to know a few things to be good at Boxing. Both MMA and Boxing offer great things to its fans. We see great talented and skilled fighters who dedicate their lives to a very brutal sport for our entertainment. What they do in a ring, Cage or Octagon is pretty amazing if you take the time to appreciated what they do.
UFC doesnt even compare to the great sport of boxing, they say how ufcs killing boxing but just this year Mayweather/Delahoya fight broke the record for ppv sales. Like somene said in a previous post ufc is comparable to wrestling, the only difference is the wwe is more fun to watch.
