After the weekend and staying up till all hours watching Froch come back from the brink in a classic. 2009 has been great so far. I loved JMM v Diaz, loved Skelton v Rogan, Collazo v Berto, Appleby v Lindsay, enjoyed Mosley walloping Margarito, Bradley v Holt was good, John v Juarez was great, Dunne v Cordoba was epic. And there is so much yet to come Haye v Klitschko Adamek v Johnson (?) Pascal v Diaconu Bika v Miranda trilogy (I wish) Pavlik v Abraham (should happen) Cotto v Clottey Pac v Hatton JMM v FMJ (may not be a great fight but it's a huge event) Valero v Prescott (holy ****, how good a match up is that) John v Juarez 2 Probably more that I forgot to add
I agree and 2008 was fantastic as well. The only thing lacking is the heavyweight division, but with Wlad-Haye, things might light up a bit, hopefully Chagaev/Valuev is the last chapter of the Don King WBA roundabout and Vitali is still kicking ass regularly; it's better than in 2004/2005.
Yep most weight divisons have big names in which fans want to see, even the really small ones with Donarie, Lopez, Darchinyan, John and Gamboa. Shame the heavies are so terrible but when Haye gets to the helm, Arrola develops and other prospects mature it can only get better.
