Don't be sorry. You haven't done anything to me. You come across as a decent chap to me. I wiil just say don't limit yourself. There's no shame in failing. The only shame is to not keep on trying until you succeed.

Pretty sure victories over Viloria and Sosa would also have been significantly better a few years ago. Indeed, I'd suggest the quality of such wins has fallen more drastically than Klitschko and to a lesser extent Pacquiao (and were probably worth less even at their respective peaks than the faded versions of Wlad and Manny).

I disagree. More of a drop-off with Pacquiao and Klitschko (by quite some margin, too)

Perhaps, but again I would say that was in part because they had a far higher peak to drop off from, and as I noted, I think the faded versions still rate higher than the two main scalps of Gonzalez ever did even at their peak. Sosa has been handed title opportunities like candy, and Viloria, despite a more valiant effort than anticipated vs Gonzalez, has nevertheless looked clearly faded since the Estrada fight.

Hopefully the same people who tried to argue that Manny deserved it last year thanks to a win over a P4P opponent in Bradley.

But Mayweather did NOT beat Manny Pacquaio LEGITIMATELY!!
He had to CHEAT!!! No one needs 750 ml of saline drip because they have " DARK URINE" ROFLMAO
Best part is he was juiced up to the gills, Manny only had one good arm for 8 rounds & all Mayweather did was RUN LIKE A GIRL!!!!!

Im not a pac fanatic but I believed & still do believe that a 100% fit Pacquaio given a level playing field, eg No Bayless, Morretti etc, STILL is capable of kicking Mayweathers ass. He Mayweather can be juiced up if he wants he was almost certainly juiced May 2 & barely beat a severely injured Pac.
Forget the ludicrous 118-110 117-111 BS

Floyd is busted roiding himself to teeth and here there are people questioning why he's not fighter of the year instead of questioning why he's not in jail.

    Flomo logic

One question though. Mayweather is supposedly very rich right ?? You say all the hot women only want rich guys ?? Right ? So my question is Why is Mayweather always pictured hanging with skanky looking ho types?? Don't make sense does it?? I guess even hookers have a little pride LOL

Pacquiao was injured, the fight was a farce, and Floyd cheated, therefore neither fighter gets the kind of credit for the match that they would have if they'd both been 100% and given the fans a good show. He followed that fight up with a guy who is well below his level instead of someone more competitive. That isn't fighter of the year material.

It's a really bad year where nobody really stands out as the odds on favorite. Usually, you give it to the guy with the most spectacular wins, but mostly the top guys avoided each other. Fury got a great win over Klitschko but it was such a lackluster affair and possibly a fluke that I can understand people being reluctant to award him the laurels. GGG looked spectacular against people who were obviously a level or two below him, but at least he was exciting, got knockouts, and active. The award usually goes to guys who fight three or four times and get knockouts like when Donaire and Stevenson won. You could give it to Gonzalez for Sosa and Viloria, but as good as their records were they were still a little past prime and it would have been better to see him in against a young guy like Estrada or Inoue. You could give the award to Salido for putting on the best exhibitions, but like John Molina the other year, he didn't actually win his matches.

It's a tough one and it's going to be controversial whoever they give it to.
