I am getting annoyed now. Every time I log on or just take a look at the threads going there is always arguments about how one country is out-doing the other or how home-town biased refereeing is the reason people win and lose fights. And last night David Haye was accused of being allowed to get away with fouls because the fight was in the UK and obviously people from Europe, vice-versa for the USA and their respective fighters.

And my point is it has NOTHING to do with the countries. Its not one country doing it and nobody else, its just how the sport is played out sometimes! Its just people not liking the winner so they try and belittle and discredit it in anyway they can because they can't accpet the loss.

And if you think Haye was on-purposely smacking Ruiz around the back of the head then you're clearly a ******. Watch how Ruiz falls down and moves his head down, It couldn't be helped. The first time was a stupid mistake on Hayes part but other then that, It just happened due to the motion of Ruiz's head movement.

Obviously rarely there is a case of bad scoring in fights from countries but that happens even in your own country, to a fighter from that country. Paulie V Diaz fight one, comes to mind.

People are always going to root for their fellow countrymen to a certain extent as its human nature, i just don't think it should play as much of a part as it does in boxing to the point where people want other fighters to lose purely based on their nationality.

Yeah exactly. Most of my favourite fighters are outside of the country I am from. I guess because I try not to be biased, I expect other people not to be. But yeah, I know what you mean about people wanting their countrymen to win, but it is taken too seriously and some of the comments that I have been reading are just so blind.

Thats just a usename as i couldn't think of anything else and am proud of where i come from, i never let where i come from or even my political view on another country effect my opinion of a fighter who may come from their. Honestly though the only time i would say that my opinion on a fighter may be effected are based on that fighters fans, their have been cases where i would have to admit it would not have bothered me to see a fighter lose just so his fans would eat their words, but not because of nationality.

You post this bringing up a good point, but in some fights there have been bias for the favorite fighter. It happens here in the U.S. and abroad, but it not in everyfight that people complain about. I still believe that Germany is the worst that I have seen for officating and judging. The saying Home Town Favorite usually means the home town boy is going to get a favor if possible.
