Am I the only one who is almost burnt out by boxing right now? This past weekend we had cards on both networks and both were completely one sided cards. I didnt fall for the Lundy trash talk either. Dont get me wrong im still going to watch all the main cards but it just seems like boxing is headed in a boring direction. When PBC is putting on more competitive fights then hbo you know something is off

Hopefully its just part of the late winter when nothing happens boxing wise but lets be honest even the spring schedule is bla. What do you guys think?

It's just a temporary lull. We have a great match up in Joshua Martin. Algieri Spence. Ward Barerra. Etc

It's going to be a slow spring. Boxing fans were expecting GGG/Canelo, but Canelo clucked. Kovalev/Stevenson is suppose to happen in June, but it's looking more unlikely. And what the hell is going on with Klitschko/Fury?

I wasn't too excited about last night's fights either. It was a local rivalry and a one sided fight. Super fight are not getting made between top fighters...that's the problem. I am looking forward to Thurman/Porter and I'm kinda looking forward to Ward/Barrera but I don't think it'll be that competitive.

Frampton vs Quigg was suppose to be a super fight and like most super fights nowadays it was lackluster.

We're in between generations. We got guys who have been ducking each other for awhile, guys afraid to get their toes wet, guys trying to find correct divisions etc. but the storm's a brewing. Momentum is slowly building and as long it everyone just doesn't end up beating each other we'll have someone to hate/love soon enough..

Thats why i rarely post anymore. Its a boring time in boxing, most mega fights need lots of time to brew and after pac/floyd cotto/canelo everything seems empty

Yea because Mosley, DLH, Trinidad, Mayorga, Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Martinez, Williams, Pavlik, Mirana, Donaire, Darchinyan, Froch, Pascal, Kessler, Cotto, Torres, Margarito, Vazquez, Rafael Marquez, Gatti, Ward, etc. were always involved in snoozers.

The 2000's was the ****. Great times for boxing.

This is what happens when you put all your hopes on one hero and his time comes and goes.

    It's the Groupie Syndrome.

How can you not be excited when there's boxers out there like GGG, Kovalev, Canelo, GOnzalez, Inoue, Crawford, F. Vargas, Uchiyama, Estrada, Wilder, Loma etc.

Even if we're not getting the fights we want right this moment there are so many possibilities out there to get excited about.

Some of you just sound like casuals getting excited only my mega fights.

Who said they weren't, but its been 6 years since the 2000's have been over, I didn't mind 2011 to 2015 and I'm really liking where the sport is going currently. I'm not the one criticizing the sport the TS is. And I'm sure that's because Maywather and Pacquiao are no longer the center of attention and the sport is diversifying like ElCyclon just stated. Which I view as a good thing and the TS most likely doesn't.

Yeah, agreed, I've been feeling the same way. Though I am looking forward to Thurman-Porter.
